Delay when changing folder names, etc

When editing my folders, changing names, adding or deleting there is a long pause before actioned.
This only occurred after Windows 10 pro was updated to build 1803.

run updates again and see if it updates to version 1809.

I had that, too. Went away after a Defender update.
