Desktop Icons

I stupidly unchecked show all icon in the Desktop Properties dialogue box under View. Now I am unable to get the dialogue box back by right clicking the desktop and therefore no icons.

Help please

try : Settings, Personalisation, Themes, Desktop icon settings ....
check any boxes offered you want an icon for,
or 'Restore Default'

That is very strange, you should be able to check and uncheck that whenever you want.
You can probably just use a restore point to get back to where you were before.

I don't have any restore points to go to. This was a clean install way back when and I attempted a restore, but it seem it came turned off. I don't know why!!
