I'm using Windows 10 Pro on my PC and Windows 10 Home on my Laptop.
Both machines are running Outlook 2003 and both are set up for the same email address.
An email is sent to that address.
If I click send/receive in Outlook on my PC, it appears normally.
If I click send/receive in Outlook on my Laptop the email does not appear.
Both Outlooks are set up to preserve read emails on the server and
the email concerned is indeed retained on the server.
This phenomenon has only just started recently
and so I am suspecting a recent Windows 10 update might be the cause, hence this post.
Any suggestions for cause and/or cure would be welcome.

Yes you can use single version of Outlook in two different systems. its is easily workable as I have used the similar versions on two different machines and it is perfectly working.

How did you set up your email (POP3 or IMAP) ? that might make a difference.
POP3 downloads the email and leaves a copy (if set that way) otherwise the email will be deleted from the server.
IMAP gives you access to the email server from any device, BUT: changes made from one device affect all other devices that have access to the same account, meaning, if e.g. you delete an email on one device, it will be deleted on all other devices as well (kind of sync'd).
