Enhancing Snipping Tool response

In Win7, clicking on Snipping Tool IMMEDIATELY changed the cursor into Capture mode. In Win10, I have to first click on NEW to get the same effect, thus introducing unnecessary delay - (how) can this delay be avoided ?

I see you have posted the same query on another forum. It will be Interesting to see the responses, but, my memory fails me. You could be right, but, I am (almost) certain it has always been a requirement to select the option first (Free; rectangle etc..)??

Later. Just checked on my old Windows 7 machine. Still pops up with "New" as the first requirement. - But it may have been updated by MS.
