SOLVED Error code 0x81000031

Hi, when I try to backup I always get the above error code and I can find no real way of fixing it. I upgraded from windows 7 to 10 but then had the hard drive replaced with an ssd running 10. I try to back up using the windows 7 back up but am wondering if there is a different system for back up in 10. I don't want a full system back up just files , docs. etc. Any help will be very welcome.

Thanks for your post, Wolfie. I've solved it as far as I am concerned. I backed up the files I wanted by using File History but I haven't solved the original error code, I guess. I think the main problem is that I'm running Windows 10 but backing up using Windows 7. I'll have to continue using File history, it works OK.
