File association with Program

I'm trying to associate a file extension with a program selected the program its opened but when i click on the files it keeps on asking me what to associate with.

I've done a reset on the file extensions but only seems to be this particular file extension ive even gone into the registry and deleted the entry retried but nothing.

Can someone please advise.

what type of file and what sort of app would you need to run it?, Windows Shell, Command line tool?.
