Hello,

I have some quite old files that I haven't looked at for quite a while, but
would possibly like to use them again.

As i remember, these were.csv files. Radio frequency listings.

But, looking at them now, they appear as, e.g.,

" Maritime.txt.zycizhj Type ECC "

a. What is an ECC File, please ?

b. And what is this zycizhj ? All these files seem to have it.
They didn't originally, I'm pretty sure, but may be wrong. Seem to remember that they were just plain simple .txt files

Thanks,
Bob

What I would try as a test is to copy one of the files to a temporary location then Rename it leaving off everything to the right of the .txt extension, or others such as .jpg, .doc, .wpd, etc. Then try the file again. I used to have a MacBook and saw that happen once when transferring files.
