FOLDERS on Windows 10 Mail

I use gmail and I used to have folders on Windows 10 mail where I could file emails in the appropriate folder eg A folder for this years holiday , I have jus discovered that all my folders are now empty. I have managed to find the email that I was looking for but sometimes a search does not come up with the desired email because you cannot remember enough detail to look for it Does anyone know what has happened and how to fix it?

Hi jan. Sense no one is answering your thread, I'll give it a shot. Personally I don't save any emails. I suppose you could have a few you wanted to save, but I don't understand saving every email you get. Having said that, here's a link I found. See if this helps. Other members may reply latter.
