Why is it that now I've installed Windows 10 I cannot access any Google pages? (i.e., Google Finance, Google Search, etc.) Seems strange that version 10 has "locked out" Google altogether.

I assume you are using Microsoft Edge, default browser of Windows 10.

Would you agree to use Internet Explorer 11 instead ?
If yes, Start button > All apps > scroll down to Windows Accessories > locate Internet Explorer.
You can do one or both ......
1. Right click at Internet Explorer > click Pin to Start or Pin to taskbar.
2. Right click at Internet Explorer > select Open File location > right click at Internet Explorer > Send to > Desktop (create shortcut ).
