Homegroup problem with W10/W10 Insider Preview

Running W10 on my desktop & W10 Insider Preview on my laptop. I have set up a Homegroup on desktop; when I try to join that Homegroup with laptop I get an error message saying can't connect to Homegroup at this time. Recurring problem for several months!
Helpful suggestions appreciated.
