How to safely uninstall Windows Mail APP

I have Spectrum as my email provider and receive email through them. The Windows Mail App seems redundant and emails lag behind. when i open it I see emails loading that i already have seen. I also get alerts that my account settings are out of date I never changed my passwords or anything else
I assume deleting the APP will not affect anything regarding my email connection. I also want to open a gmail account and migrate some of my emails to that. I have no interest in outlook.

Right click the start icon and select settings and then Apps. Scroll down the "Mail and calendar" Select the three dots on the far right. There is the option to uninstall. It should not affect anything in your other email facilities.
Not sure about the account settings. I have not read anything on the subject.

I've changed your username to just your first name for you .
