HP with windows 10 is stuck on screen

Turned computer on today and received message about stopcode and that windows would restart, but just goes back to screen that says preparing automatic update.

Could you confirm that message you say you are seeing.

Are you certain it says 'Preparing automatic update' as opposed to 'Preparing automatic repair'
