SOLVED Import to my pictures

i cannot import the pictures I see on my camera across into my pictures

That is normally a function of "AutoPlay"
Settings -> Devices -> AutoPlay
Check the drop down box for your camera / memory card, depending on how it is detected and choose an option.
Probably "Import photos and Videos (Photos), I would think.

Maybe computer specific, but "My Pictures" in Windows 10 is a junction folder, and is inaccessible without hacking.

You should have another folder, under the username folder, named "pictures" which can be used.
