SOLVED Intel Flash driver v.64 (code 12)

In Device Manager I have an entry - Intel 28F320C3 Flash Update Device Driver v6.4. It has a warning icon which if expanded says I have a code 12 error, insufficient resources. If I want to use this device I need to disable some other device.
I have Googled it and followed all the recommendations about updating drivers etc and all seem to be in order.
I'm using a Dell 545 (2009) system with ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 graphics adapter.
Is this a problem I need to worry about or is just a symptom of an ageing PC?
