Since I downloaded windows 10, I have no audio on my laptop . It seems to be stuck on plug-in headphones or speakers.

What do you mean? that speakers don't work or that headphones don't work or both?
Check device manager that the sound system has its drivers loaded and enabled.
Then start by right clicking on the speaker icon at bottom right. Go through all the properties and setups of the sound system. If it lets you, set the sound to basic CD quality.
