Laptop Won't Wake Up After Ms Updates Ran

Hi all, I'd appreciate any help! I have Windows 10 on my laptop - have for about a month. I installed their updates a couple of days ago, and since then, when my laptop goes to sleep, it won't wake up! When i open the top, the power light is lit, like it normally would, but nothing! Just a black screen :( So I have to hold the the power button down for a reset, and it has to completely reboot before I can use it again. Apart from this being frustrating as all hell, and time consuming, I am worried that I am going to damage my laptop doing this constantly. How do I fix this?????????

Try this:

Open Device Manager and go into mouse and keyboard properties

1. uncheck "allow the computer to turn off the device to save power".
2. Check "allow the device to wake the computer".
