Hi Robert,

If you were referring to the Windows Mail app then:
  • Click the Tools menu > click Options > click Receipt tab

If you were meaning Outlook then:
  • On the Classic Menu you click Menus > Actions > Request a Read Receipt
  • If you're not using Classic Menu then when you create a new email:
    • Click Options > then on the Tracking Group place a check next to Request a Read Receipt

Where do I find the Tools menu?

1. The original thread is over two years old. Several items have been moved around

2. The op is referring to Outlook. The MS Outlook on the desktop remains the same.

In Windows Mail:
Click the cogwheel and, on the right, "automatic replies."
In MS Outlook:
File - Options - Mail.
The option is in there.
