My Lenovo Yoga laptop experiences dozens of WiFi losses every day. I wanted to blame my router until I installed network monitors on the Yoga and another Lenovo I own. Only the Yoga is experiencing dropouts. Could this be a driver problem or am I faced with a hardware failure? Any advice would be appreciated.

The first thing. Go to the Wifi device in device manager. Look at it properties. specifically under power management make sure that the device is NOT set to turn off to save power. My Lenovo Ideapad used to do this years ago and that was the problem.

Then see if that improves things. Someone else may know if some of the power settings on a laptop can cause this to be turned on again. I don't know.

I was setup that way. I unchecked that setting, hope that is the problem.

Thanks for the input.

Uh-oh, I changed the configuration at 6:20 AM and it dropped out 2 min later.
I have a NET-DYN WiFI dongle I'll use for now.
