My computer only hibernates fifty percent of the time when I close lid

Hiya folks. I've set my computer to hibernate when I close the lid but it only goes into hibernation 50 percent of the time. Is there an update, patch or fix that can help? Is it Windows problem? I bought my computer 2 years ago, with Windows 10 on it and I've been having the problem since I bought it. Thanks in advance!

You could just turn the Laptop off when logging off.
I know that doesn't resolve your issue. I doubt that its a Windows 10 issue, It could be the magnetic reed switch that's activated when you close the lid. To repair would require opening up the laptop to access the reed switch, a time consuming repair.
