For a couple of days, my PC screen is freezing at least once in a day. I work on Windows 10 and apparently, all of a sudden, it freezes. Yesterday, I cleaned my CPU and still the problem persists (though, I cleaned a lot of dust). What else can I do to fix that?

Do you hear your fans screaming a lot, is your computer hot, is it under a heavy load?
Try a Microsoft defender offline scan. Windows security-virus protection-scan options-Microsoft defender offline scan-scan now.

Yes, it could be, but I really think it’s software. Is there any kind of a pattern? Such as you open outlook and your screen freezes, the fans kick in on high for a moment and then the screen freezes…?

Before you go spending hundreds of dollars on a new pc I would update your graphics driver, your chipset driver, and your hardrive driver. I could provide all of the above for you, if you give me your computers make model… . If you want to do it yourself than go to the manufacturers website with your make and model and find all of the above. There are a few driver updaters out there that work free, but some are sketchy and could have viruses. Other work well for free, but are filled with pop up’s and prompts trying to upsell you to the pro versions and get you to download other apps. If your willing to try one I would recommend driver reviver, but as soon as your done with it get it off your pc or the pop ups won’t stop.

Any possibility of a hardware issue??
While cleaning, repairing or doing any type stuff where you make contact with these electronics, always take some precautions. It is possible that while making any type of contact, any of the fragile electronic component got shot due to ESD (Electro-Static Discharge). Therefore, I would like to advice to put on Nitrile gloves / ESD gloves and grounding yourself with an ESD wrist-strap would be much safer.

Anyway if you suspect any hardware failure, contact a hardware engineer.

Frequent screen freezing could be caused by software or hardware issues. Try updating your drivers, checking for system updates, or running a virus scan. If the issue persists, consider checking for hardware malfunctions or performing a system restore.
