New update & deleted files

Today, I did the latest big update. And now all my images are gone, all my documents and all my videos. Great. F*cking amazing. Thanks a lot Microsoft.

Is there anything I can do to restore my files?

as long as you used the standard update method, you can do a roll-back:

Always back-up your files on another disk/USB stick/partition and that way you won't lose them!:

If you are succesful, in restoring, and choose to try the upgrade again, at an early stage you have the option of choosing what you would like to keep, which includes personal files, apps and settings. Watch for the message!
