Password changed?

I use a PC at work with username + password1
I use a laptop at home with (same) username + password2

password1 does not equal password2....
Until yesterday!

Now laptop at home will not accept password2....but will accept password1!

Please help ...why?

Is the account that you are using a Microsoft Account (usually (e-mail address removed))
Sounds to me like the account is linked to a Microsoft ID and that will likely result in a single password being appropriate in all instances where that account is used.
