Access password used to access my computer changed

I believe my computer start access password was changed when I reinstalled Skype. the next time I turned on my computer I was asked for Google password not my windows password. At the end of installation I was asked for both pass words. Is this just Google taking over the world or have I been hacked. I am reluctant to turn on my computer just in case I have been hacked.
