When selecting "Print" I get message "Save" instead of a printout. I must first save the dokument I want to print before I eventually can get a print out. I know there is a setting for this but have forgotten where.

Click the Windows Logo / Start Button, bottom left of primary monitor and simply type
Printers
Hit enter as it will be the top of the list
That will open the Devices and Printers applet in the Control Panel
Do you see your printer listed there?
IF so
Right click it and choose....... Set as default
Test to see if you can print afterwards without having to first save.

What??? "Does not work".
Are you saying that it works except for your wife's account?
Are you saying that she does not see the appropriate printer as a potential selection?
Are you saying that she can not set it as the default printer?
Does she have any problems printing from other applications other than her "gmail"?

IS she perhaps using a different software application to open, view and print the PDFs from, than the one you are using?
I know that Windows 10 loves to use Edge as the default PDF viewer. Are you both using Edge?
OR
Are you using Adobe Reader or FoxIt Reader and she is using Edge?
And are you certain that her only issue with respect to printing is just PDF documents?
