Hi
I'm facing problem with the recent document
when I right click microsoft word icon on start menu the recent document don't appear and because of this I'm unable to pin new documents

if there any way to fix this please

Try this:

Make a desktop shortcut to the folder “Recent Items”

If you like to look at the contents of Recent Items on a frequent basis, you may want to create a shortcut on the desktop.

1. Right-click the desktop
2. In the context menu, choose “New”
3. Select “Shortcut”
4. In the box “Type the location of the item”, enter:
   %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\
5. Click “Next"
6. Name the shortcut “Recent items” or name of your choice
7. Click “Finish”

the shortcut gave me an access to many recently opened items
but still to pin documents i need it to appear on the start menu

It seems to be a common problem I tried to read about but I couldn't find a solution and now the recent items are not even appearing in the jump lists on the Start menu of all the programs not only word

any help to solve this it is really hard to work without being able to pin items ??

Okay, go into Control Panel (Type Control Panel into Ask Cortana if you can't find it). Select File Explorer Options. You'll have to look around, but it will give you three different ways to view your Recent Documents.
