Samsung gold login issue.

Can anyone help. My auntys Samsung gold laptop starting playing up about 3 days ago now. We've gone from a completely black screen to the login screen finally appearing. The laptop now turns on and off fine but the password kept filling with black dots. It's now stopped filling back dots but will not let me enter anything into the password bar to login. I've tried a few short cuts but nothing is working. Can anyone help ???

Does it fill by itself?? If so you might have one or more stuck keys. Have had that before...

Yep.... another member ( @Norton ) just had something similar with a stuck "Alt" key on his keyboard.
Best bet, with the machine off, energetically go over your keyboard, tapping each key to make sure it is not stuck down, or.....
Try substituting a different keyboard for testing.
