Vista had file box at the top of e-mail page that would allow saving e-mails. Windows 10 has no file box thst I can find. Have clicked everything on e-mail pages. Also I see no archive selection so I am using chats.

Whatever email program you have been using prior to Windows 10, keep using it.
Don't waste your time with this "mickey-mouse" Mail app.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but didn't

Vista use Windows Live Mail, as it's mail client, and.....
Can't you still install Windows Essentials bits on Windows 10, which includes Windows Live Mail?
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/essentials
Wouldn't that make you feel right at home?
I don't see the issue.
I agree the Mail App is fine for my phone, but on my desktop I'm gonna stick with Outlook.
If I didn't have that, I'd probably resort to something like Thunderbird.

Windows 10 does support Windows Essentials which includes Windows Live Mail (WLM)
That is what I use on both my Win 10 Home and formerly Win 10 Pro but now Insider Preview Pro 10532.

How do I replace windows 10 mail app. with windows live mail?
You don't replace it, you just use Live Mail instead.
I provided a link above to Windows Essentials
I believe you can select which individual applets you wish to install from among those included in the package.
