Sfc in windows 10 does not work

Hi, I cannot get the sfc to work in windows 10, all I get is an explanation of the checking modes. I have logged in as administrator and put in sfc /scannow ,
Any ideas?

Right click at Start > at the popup box, select Command Prompt (Admin ) > then type sfc /scannow > Enter.

Command Prompt (Admin) is equivalent to the old way of selecting Run As Administrator.
