Skype Messenging slows as time goes.

Had an issue with Skype Messenging for a while.

Downloaded the latest from Skype.

The issue: when starting a conversation, all is good in sending and recieving a message read at each end - UK <> British Columbia.

I have broadband of 15Mbps and BC has Shaw cable which I understand is quite fast.

Over a course of 5 mins any response between us slows where if I send a message it can take 5 seconds for BC to see it or vice-versa, the longer we chat the slower it gets.

Help appreciated.

Downloaded the latest from Skype.

I assume this means you have the latest update version of skype. Is this the App version of skype that comes with windows 10 or is this the desktop version that is downloadable?

I here a lot of users still complain of the app version having issues. That said, I would uninstall the app version. Then download the desktop version.

Sorry, its the desktop version as I’ve used for many years.

The old version was uninstalled, laptop restarted before installing the latest version.
