Sleeping sickness?

My Acer 780 laptop has recently been going to sleep every 3 minutes. I may not get this off before it goes back to "sleep".
I have all my settings set to never and yet it goes to sleep.
This has just started happening so maybe a problem with the latest update?
Anyone else have a computer with sleeping sickness.
Or anyone have an idea how to fix?

Could it be that it is detecting a low-battery condition (perhaps incorrectly) and going to sleep that way? Does the same thing happen when running from battery and plugged in?
