When I try to do Windows update on my Microsoft Surface 3 I get the message that there were problems installing some updates but will try again later. 2018-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1709 for x64-based systems (KB4056892) and it gives me Error 0x8e5e03fa.
I see my last successful update was Dec 27/17.
My Windows Defender antivirus is up to date and full scans are all up to date.
I use a Microsoft Surface 3, 64 os x 64 based processor - Ram 2.0

Appreciate help by patient person. I have been using the Surface for close to 2 years.

Thanks,
Dragonfly

You might try disabling your anti-virus to see if the system can set certain registry entries required for that update.

-problems found Potential Windows update (not fixed)
-windows update components must be repaired( fixed)
-check for pending updates (fixed)
Health scan is all ok
thanks for suggestion though
