SOLVED This app can't run on your pc

I recvd a new computer, HP Pavillan, for xmas. trying to reload some programs that I use on my old computer, Window 10, I get the" This app can't run on your pc".

Try compatibility mode. You may have to do it for the setup program and the actual program. If your computer was quite old, try XP mode.

A lot will depend upon the program, Win10 can't run the older 16-bit programs that WinXP and Win7 could. Some 32-bit programs won't run on 64-bit hardware or 64-bit Windows, in particular some drivers and programs that access/use hardware items directly.
