Transferring LPs to computer.

Several years ago, I was using a program in Windows to transfer my vinyl albums to my computer. I could start the program and then start the phonograph and the program would detect space between the songs and create a file for each song. I don't remember the name of the program, or whether it was a part of Windows or a stand alone program. Does anyone know what program it was?

For ripping music I always have used CDEX

CDex | Free CD to MP3 converter, ripper, FLAC, M4A, WMA, OGG, CD extractor

Not sure if that works vinyl too

I have used Audacity (https://www.audacityteam.org/) in the past with great success. Even allows edits of the files to remove clicks etc.

Free Open Source as well!

It may be a great program, but Windows 10 says it cannot be downloaded safely and will not download it.

It cannot be downloaded safely because the website does not support HTTPS. However, Windows defender sees it as PUA (potentially unwanted app) with a low security score. WD sees it as 4 different PUA's, so IMHO that is a false positive.

When recording an LP or cassette tape does Audacity separate each song track to a single track or are all of the songs bunched together as one track?
