Transferring an email from inbox to appropriate folder - Outlook/Windows 10.

Since about May 2017, when 'moving' important emails to the appropriate folder, the tick box for the email will not accept the 'tick' until 4 or 5 attempts have been made. In some cases it then works ok, but about one in four attempts sees the email transferred to the 'Other' inbox before I can specify the correct folder. Even worse, when I then try to transfer it from the 'Other' inbox (to the appropriate folder) the email simply disappears never to be found again.
This is really testing my patience with Outlook and Windows 10. I'm gradually losing emails that are of significant importance, and am not always able to ask for an email to be re-sent.

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Andrew.

Hi Dave,
Thanks.
Microsoft 'migrated' my Hotmail to Outlook mid-2016. Computer is running on 32-bit.

So, you are using the online Outlook??
Have you tried ignoring the tick box, left click the EMail item and drag it to the desired location?
