Whenever I plug a device into a usb on my Dell desktop, I hear a noise but, I cannot find it. I'm not very computer savey. This is a new desktop and my old one recognized anything. It would show up on statup window-Thanks for any help

The "noise" is the "new device" sound showing the computer recognizes some "new" was put in. Go to "Start" then to "File Explorer". You should see under "OS (C)" like the old version, a new Drive drop down will show for USB use. Click on it and it will show what is on the "stick". In older Windows versions, this was known as "My Computer".

Coming from WinXP, I quickly learned my new Dell's Win 10 Home renamed many older familiar aspects. Just take some time to familiarize yourself with the new setup
