Videos not playing

I have noticed that irrespective of which browser used,Edge,Firefox,Opera etc; on trying to play news item video's, non are functioning.
In other words,videos will not play. Is this the problem referred to?

It should be fixed now, it was due to a problem with a company called "Fastly" that powers lots of big sites:

Massive internet outage hits websites including Amazon, gov.uk and Guardian

Technical problem traced to network run by Fastly brings some sites down entirely

If you're still having problems, it may be something else unfortunately.

I have run sfc Scannow, Scannow fix, Disme, all report that everything ok
In opening any mail in eM Client (email provider), then choosing an article to open in a browser, when browser open, clicking on a video play icon, NOTHING happens.

help required,please.

Do you have any adblock software installed or a 3rd party antivirus with ad blockers as part of it? Sometimes they can block CDNs and domains which are used for both advertising and video players, so can prevent videos from working.
