SOLVED WD external hardrive does not show up

My external hard drive does not show up. Its a WD my passport.

Right click the Start Button and choose Disk Management from the context menu.
Does it show up there? Perhaps it needs to be initialized or other attention.

Yes it does! How would I initialize it? Thank you for replying!

IF it is showing and not prompting you to initialize then it is already initialized.
Perhaps, it needs a drive letter.
What drive letter is reflected in Disk Management?
Can you right click it and choose "open"?
