SOLVED web brosing slow after updates

I run Windows 10 Home which means, as I understand it, that I can't choose what updates to accept (if that's wrong please let me know) but does anyone else find that for a while after the update the computer runs very slowly. This happens no matter how big the update.

I always restart the computer again after any update, I find it seems to clear up anything hanging or causing PC pain.
