What happened, new message?

Hi

I booted my computer yesterday and I got a drive selection menu. This has never happened before. The only selection was Windows 11.

I selected it and got a message that said running memory check, and then in about 3 seconds it booted to Windows 11, and that was it.
However, it took less time to boot than it would have normally.

Ever since this happened, my computer has been running better, everything is faster.

I've never encountered this before, did the computer detect some memory error that I've had for a while and correct it?
Very strange.

There is a link in this Windows 10 page at the bottom for Windows 11. There were updates on yesterday's Patch Tuesday and maybe you got Upgraded to Win11?

No, I was already running Windows 11, I'm still trying to find out if the computer found some error, or if it was just some kind of adjustment, but the computer is running better since it did whatever it did.

Seems my Win11 machines are a bit faster than my Win10 machines, both Desktops and Notebooks.

Yes, Windows 11 seemed faster on my old computer, too. This one came with Windows 11 installed.
