WINDOWS 10 START SCREEN

I have upgraded my laptop & PC from 8.1. My PC starts by displaying my 'Desktop'. My laptop boots up and displays the 'Desktop' for 2 or 3 seconds before switching to the Windows 10 start screen. How can I set the desktop as the default start screen?

I solved this by clicking on settings, then system, then tablet mode. In tablet mode under the heading "When I sign in" select "go to the desktop." I hope this helps you.
