Windows 10 will not back up to two different external hard drives.

I have done an image back up to an external hard drive using the Windows 10 backup utility. It worked fine. I would like to do Windows 10 File History to a different external hard drive, but Windows says "File History doesn't recognize this drive." Is there any way to get Windows to recognize this second drive? It seems like it can only recognize one external drive.

I have never used windows backup but i have used for years Macrium reflect never had a failure.
if you try this software make sure you create a rescue disc. using the software you install Excellent product and free for home use
