Integrated or external USB connected peripheral card reader?

I'm thinking you will need to get the latest drivers that HP has to offer for that particular computer.
Including Chipset, BIOS, and anything specific for that particular card reader, even if you have to resort to installing an older driver for a previous version of Windows using compatibility mode.
