While not technically an "Insider" preview.
Microsoft has recently released, what I believe to be their first Redstone version of their 2016 Server, for evaluation in a "Technical Preview"
For anyone who might be interested in playing with it, perhaps in a Virtual Machine........

Should get you

I'm going to be trying this very soon, as we're currently hosting on Windows 2012r2 and there are some significant improvements in the new version (http/2!). I can't imagine upgrading the web server to this anytime soon, but it'll be nice to play around and see how things work.

I plan to use this on a computer of mine in the future, but a question I have about Windows Server 2016;

While it is still in development, those that are using the developmental builds, do they upgrade to the full product for free, or how does that service work? (I backtracked to what people did with Server 2012, and it looks like the answer is "yes", but I want to double-check.)

Nope..... I don't believe so, at least they never have with these evals in the past.
They generally last, as long as they last and when the time bomb period is over, so is your eval.
I don't expect Server 2k16 to be any different.
