working on it

Can't get past the "working on it" part of the initial setup. It runs for hours.... with no message as to what's wrong. I have Windows 7 trying to update to 10 on a desktop build.

Don't know if this will help, but I had the same problem. I've stopped it and made sure that all my Windows Updates were done and then that all programmes are closed, restarted the pc and then tried again. Hope this will help. I actually let it hang on "working on it" overnight, then stopped and retried 4 times and then it started to get past the "Working on it" after another restart. Good luck.

If you're doing an upgrade, try disabling any anti virus software also.

Actually, I went to microsoft.com and downloaded windows 10 setup to a flash drive and installed it that way. Problem solved.
