Xbox 360 controller vibrating but not responding on my PC

Hello,

I recently bought a new Xbox 360 wired controller. It’s a knockoff, but it works otherwise. The issue is that when the controller vibrates at its highest level, it gets stuck and stops responding to commands - just keeps vibrating. This controller works fine on another PC.

I’ve been experiencing more blue screens and random shutdowns recently. A friend suggested I factory reset and reinstall Windows. Since this is a new laptop, I’m okay with losing data if needed.

Any advice?

That’s annoying! First, make sure the controller is properly connected. If it’s wired, try a different USB port. If it’s wireless, re-sync it. Then, update the drivers through Device Manager or download the latest Xbox Accessories app. Sometimes a simple restart fixes it too!
