Video problems in Facebook and Skype

Not quite sure how to post this in short form. Let me try it this way. If I try and do a video call on my system with someone else, they can see me but I cannot see them. I can see mine own picture down in a little block on the right hand corner but that's it. I'm using Google Chrome. If I do...

Nope..... nothing on Reg or Norton.
All we can do is hope for the best and wish them well.

What we do and how we do it, does not lend itself to any backup and redundancy.
IF something happened to me, there is no one else in my household who would know that they might want to report my situation on this forum or anywhere else more broadly.

It's pretty much the nature of the beast.
All we can do is, be grateful for the contributions they've made and whatever benefit we can take away from their efforts to make us a little bit better and a whole lot smarter, smile and remember them fondly.

Ditto. My wife is not technically minded and is rather ill. Only chance would be a VERY internet savvy son who might stumble of my favourite list - I am auto logged on.
