Administrator log on

I am the owner and only user of a Windows 10 Dell desktop PC. How do I make myself an administrator?

Typically, given that you are the only user / account that exists on the computer, it's likely that you are already a member of the local administrators group.
Do you have reason to suspect that you are not?
IF you go to Control Panel and take a look at User Accounts you should see some information that would indicate one way or the other

You may have to create another account and give that account admin rights. It's alwasy good to have 2 admin accounts in case something happens to 1.

When you bring up command prompt make sure you selecte run as administrator.


net localgroup administrators [username] /add
