Can anybody suggest an alternative to Ms Money that simply allows the recording of income and expenditure, analytical reports of spending categories, payees, etc for nominated time periods, reconciliation with bank statements, as one can do in MS Money. My requirements are simple, as I do not need it for budgeting, making predictions, etc.
Thanks in advance

When I was a working Lad; I created my own with XL it kept track of money IN/OUT/Balances + tracked employee total overtime hrs. Unfortunately I have forgotten how to set up the cell formulas. As they say if you don't use it you loose it. Here are a few links, hopefully you will find something suitable that will fill your requirement.
BTW MS just empties the green stuff from your wallet.

Many thanks for your reply. Will have a look at these links. Many years ago, I set up an administrative system in an African country using First Choice, but I have no appetite to go through that agony again! Surely something simple has been created just for household finance recording.

katio1505 There is, it's efficient and doesn't require backing-up. You you referring to a journal and pencil you can edit and erase. LOL

Good Luck! Let us know what you find.

Norton, have had a good look at Moneydance and it'll do me just fine! Many thanks for providing the links.
On a lighter note: do they still make pencils? Also, re your first post, I won't have to worry about MS. We don't have green stuff in our wallets in Oz!
