Is Win10 Update broken ??...my PC has been trying to download the above KB for 5 days now and can't get it done.

Can't Microsoft give Win10 users a way to download and install updates directly from a website;
this is the third win10 Update goof-up I've experienced this year

The update screen only shows:
Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3140741).
Downloading updates 0%

They do http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=KB3140741
BUT.... you need to use Internet Explorer if you want to use it.
Be sure to get the correct version for your system architecture
Have you tried the update troubleshooter

Thank You for this advice
I performed both fixes and all seems OK for now.
It sure would help if the Win10 update screen had a message saying
"If your Update is causing problems, click this link for further instructions"
OR better yet...
Win10 users should be able to type in the RUN box:
"download Win10 update KBxxxxyyy"

Glad to hear it. Thanks for the follow-up and letting us know how things worked out. Much appreciated.

Can't argue with that, but then you may have not joined the forum and asked the question.
Welcome aboard by the way and thanks for taking the time to join.
