Cant open pictures (jpg) on new computer with windows 10 pro

Need help - I cant open pictures (.jpg) on my new computers that has windows 10 pro

Hi rmarconi,

Welcome to the Forum.

• Right-click on Start and select Settings
• In the Windows Settings dialog select Apps
• On the left side of the Apps & Features dialog select Default apps
• Scroll to the bottom of the Default apps dialog and click on Choose default applications by file type
• The Default applications by file type dialog will take a few seconds to populate. After is has populated, scroll down to .jpg and see which application is to the right of it [ the default is Photos ]. If you would prefer to open it in a different application then left-click on the application to the right of .jpg then select the application you wish to use.
• Repeat this with both .jpeg and .jpe file type as well.
